Serenity Centerpiece by ZHD included within auction to raise funds for rebuilding Beirut

A special edition Serenity Centerpiece by Zaha Hadid Design is included within ‘Architects for Beirut’ auction.

100% of the proceeds of the auction are donated to Beirut Urban Lab’s work leading on-the-ground efforts to restore buildings and public spaces in Beirut following the devastating blast in August at the city’s port.

Founded by faculty from the American University of Beirut’s Department of Architecture and Design in 2006, Beirut Urban Lab is currently focusing on rebuilding the city in an equitable, sustainable way.

The auction ‘Architects for Beirut’ is hosted online by Design Miami until the end of November and includes works by David Adjaye, Renzo Piano, David Chipperfield, Norman Foster, Tatiana Bilbao and  Peter Cook.

The limited edition Serenity centrepiece in transparent polished acrylic draws inspiration from Hadid’s innovative formal language of fluidity, its pristine surface interrupted by ripples that refract and reflect light.
