Ordrupgaard Museum Extension opened 15 years ago this month

The growth of Ordrupgaard’s collection presented an opportunity to explore new relationships between the museum and the park that frames it – these landscapes abstracted in the geometries of the extension and a gradation of use represented by changes in transparency. The park’s natural contour lines define the extension’s morphology and progression through the interior spaces; creating a layered experience where the museum’s interiors relate directly with its garden.

The park at Ordrupaard is open to visitors, however the museum is temporarily closed until the new year.
